Historical evolution

Originally named Zhoujiaping, it was under the jurisdiction of Xixiang dehuali in the early Qing Dynasty.

In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, it belonged to shangshatangba township.

In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it was changed to Hanlu Township, where the township government was stationed.

After October 1949, Zhoujiaping town was under the jurisdiction of Han mountain area.

In 1961, Nanzheng County government moved here.

In June 1996, the district was withdrawn and the township was built. The former Zhoujiaping Town, Shimen and Hanping villages in Baima Township and Lianshan Township, and panying and Zhangba villages in xieshui Township were merged into Chengguan town.

In December 2001, after the abolition of Zhongsuo Town, the original Zhongsuo town's six villages including national day, Hongqiao, Wufeng, Caoyan, Qili and Gaozhuang were merged.

In June 2011, it was renamed Hanshan town.
