Zhangbu Street

Zhangbu street, belonging to Gaoling District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Gaoling district and the north of Weihe River. It borders Xinshi street and Xiquan street of Lintong District in the East, Beitian street of Lintong District in the southeast, Weihe River and Geng town in the south, Yuchu town in the West and Luyuan town in the north, with a total area of 47.6 square kilometers.

In 1945, it was changed to Wenkang township.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it became Zhangbu township.

In August 1958, it was established as pioneer commune together with the former Yuchu township.

On January 1, 1959, it was changed into Zhangbu management area of Gaoling commune.

On May 20, 1961, it was changed into Zhangbu commune.

After 1966, it was renamed combat commune.

In 1972, it was renamed Zhangbu commune.

In June 1984, it was renamed Zhangbu township.

In July 2011, the township was replaced by Zhangbu town.
