Cuiyu Lisu and Pumi township is located in Ninglang Yi Autonomous County, Yunnan Province. The township government is located 54 kilometers northwest of the county, with an altitude of 2240 meters. It is bounded by Jinsha River in the West and faces Mingyin and Baoshan of Lijiang County across the river. It covers a total area of 617.60 square meters and governs 6 administrative villages and 67 natural villages. They live in Lisu, Pumi, Yi, Han, Tibetan and other nationalities. It is one of the main grain producing areas in Ninglang county.

Cuiyu township is adjacent to Hongqiao Township in the East, Tuojiao village in Jinmian Township in the south, Mingyin and Baoshan Township in Lijiang in the west, and Yongning and labo in the north. It can be said that "there are four seasons in a mountain and different days in ten li". In agriculture, it can be divided into three areas: River Valley area, semi mountain area and alpine mountain area. Lisu People live in the riverside and valley area, mainly producing rice, corn and wheat; Han and Pumi people live in the mid mountain area, mainly producing rice and corn; Yi and Tibetan people live in the alpine mountain area, mainly producing potato, buckwheat, oats and other crops. In 2006, the total economic income of the village was 21.079 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 905 yuan. By the end of 2006, the township has developed 4101.8 mu of walnut, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, HuangGuo, pomegranate and other characteristic industries, including 1050 mu of walnut, 2100 mu of Zanthoxylum bungeanum, 295 mu of HuangGuo and 656.8 mu of pomegranate, with an annual economic income of 2.553 million yuan. Due to the advantages of geographical location and climate conditions, animal husbandry is the pillar industry of Cuiyu township. Historical evolution
In the Republic of China, it belonged to bachui township. After the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1950, it belonged to bachui district. In 1951, it was divided into two districts (Hongqiao District). Cuipei commune was established in 1958. In 1962, it was divided into Hongqiao District. In 1984, Cuiyi district was added. In 1987, it was changed to cuiyusu Li and Pumi township.

In 1999, the total number of households in the township was 2885, with a total population of 14067, accounting for 6.23% of the total population of the county, including 13543 agricultural population, accounting for 96.27%, and 524 non-agricultural population, accounting for 3.73%. The natural growth rate of population was 7.15%, 3.78% lower than that in 1998. At the end of the year, the cultivated land area of the township was 18270 mu, including 4066 mu of paddy field, 14204 mu of dry land, and 1.35 mu of cultivated land per capita of agricultural population. The annual grain sown area is 28340 mu, the grain yield per unit area is 181,9 kg, and the total grain yield is 5155 tons. The farmers have 380.6 kg of grain per capita. In the whole year, 623.5 mu of flue-cured tobacco is actually planted, accounting for 25.3% of the planned amount; 958.25 loads of tobacco are actually completed, accounting for 18.43% of the planned amount at the beginning of the year. At the end of the period, 9604 large livestock, 15437 pigs and 21428 sheep were on hand; at that year, 240 large livestock, 3763 pigs and 1716 sheep were on hand.
