Moyang town
Moyang town is known as the "hometown of early maturing vegetables". It is 15 kilometers away from the county. It faces Tiane County across the river in the East, Maojing town and Bazhong Township in the southwest, and Yungan Township and dongdang Township in the north. The topography is dominated by earth mountains, with an average altitude of 500 meters, an average annual rainfall of 1200 mm, and an average annual temperature of more than 23 ℃. The town governs 30 villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 87 villager groups, 54 natural villages and 3245 households. It is a concentrated town of Buyi Ethnic Minorities, with Buyi population accounting for more than 60% of the total population. The area of cultivated land resources is 8443 mu, including 6539 mu of farmland, 1904 mu of soil, and more than 50000 mu of non cultivated land resources.
Historical evolution
In the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915), a district office was set up in Moyang, which was the Second District in Central China; in the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), it was renamed the fourth district; in the 32nd year of the Republic of China (1943), it was removed from the district and set up a township, which was changed into the Moyang district office. In 1953, Moyang belonged to the redundant courtyard township; in 1963, it was restored and set up as Moyang district; in 1990, it was set up as Moyang district; in 1992, it was removed from the District and set up as today's Moyang town.

1. Topography
