Redevelopment
Chongxin Town, subordinate to Qianxi County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the northeast of Qianxi County, bordering Jinsha County across Wuqing River in the East, Zhongping town and Zhongjian Township in the south, Dingxin Yi and Miao Township in the West and Dafang County in the north, with an administrative area of 138.67 square kilometers.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it set up governing land, Tangdi and accommodation for Sichuan salt transportation line in xichengli of Qianxi Prefecture; in May 1984, the commune was changed into Chongxin town; in July 1991, Longtang and Shiping townships were merged into Chongxin town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence households was 40641. As of June 2020, the town has re administrated 4 communities and 14 administrative villages, and the people's Government of the town is stationed in sanchongyan community.
In 2011, the total revenue of the new town was 16 million yuan, an increase of 33.3% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 3677 yuan. In 2018, there were 3 industrial enterprises and 93 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the early Qing Dynasty, there were governing land, pond land and accommodation for Sichuan salt transportation line in Xicheng of Qianxi Prefecture.
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was established as the governing land for the East Second District of Qianxi County.
In 1927, Chongxin township was established.
In 1932, villages and towns were rebuilt.
In 1941, towns were transformed into townships.
In May 1953, it was divided into five townships, namely, re Township, Wenfeng Township, Xinhua Township, Longtang Township and Xinlong township.
In 1955, Xinlong Township, Wenfeng Township and Xinhua Township were merged into Xinxiang township.
In September 1958, the rural community was reformed.
In May 1984, the commune was transformed into a new town.
In July 1991, Longtang and Shiping townships were merged into the new town.

At the end of 2011, the town re administrated 18 administrative villages: Pingqiao, Jinhua, Longtang, Longhu, Qiaobian, Shiniu, Mushan, maosha, Bajiao, zhujiazhai, Xiaopo, Fengyan, Jingzhou, Touyan, Wanchanggou, Fulong, Yangjiawan and sanchongyan, with 207 villager groups.
As of June 2020, the town has re administrated 4 communities and 14 administrative villages, and the people's Government of the town is stationed in sanchongyan community.

The river in the town belongs to Wujiang River system, Wuqing River in the northeast and Weihe River in the southwest.

In the total population, there are 19971 males, accounting for 54.06%; 16966 females, accounting for 45.94%; 7790 persons under 14 years old, accounting for 21.09%; 26126 persons between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 70.73%; 3021 persons over 65 years old, accounting for 8.18%. In the total population, 31213 people (84.5%) are Han nationality, and 5724 people (15.5%) are Manchu, Miao, Yi, Bai and other ethnic minorities. In 2011, the birth rate was 7.28 ‰, the death rate was 3.81 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 3.47 ‰. The population density is 268 per square kilometer.

History and culture
The original name of the town is sanchongyan, which is named after the connection of three weirs in the territory. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it became a village and set up a shop. When the town was built in 1927, it was named "re town" with the meaning of innovation.
