Xinge Township

Xinge township is located in the west of Xiaojin County, intersecting zhailong and Xinqiao townships in the East, Wodi Township in the south, Anning Township in Jinchuan County in the north, and Danba County in Ganzi Prefecture in the West. It covers an area of 94.49 square kilometers. At an altitude of 2190 meters, the terrain is long and narrow. Senggezong, the township government's residence, is 21.5 kilometers away from the county seat.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Aba Prefecture decided to abolish Xinge township.

The township governs 6 villager committees and 21 villager groups including Yuanying, Ruifeng, Qianjia, Ma'an, chenshui and Dagou (animal husbandry). With a population of 2704 (2017), it is a Tibetan village. The township economy is dominated by agriculture, with 5226 mu of arable land, mainly producing wheat, corn, beans, fruits and vegetables. It is the earliest mature township of Xiaojin apple, and now the sweet cherry planting base is being established.
