laojunguan is located on Laojunshan mountain between Zhonghe village, Shigang village and Lianghe village, zhonghechang Town, the county, with an altitude of 549.9 meters. The purple brown sandstone and mudstone interbedding of Jurassic Penglaizhen Formation covers an area of about 14000 square meters. The mountain has a northeast trend, and is named after Guan. There is Laojun in the temple, so it is called Laojun temple. According to the local records of Zhongjiang County and the religious records of Zhongjiang County, "Laojun temple was originally named laomiaozi, but later it was renamed today. It was first built in the Yuan Dynasty of the Western Han Dynasty and rebuilt in the second year of the Song Dynasty (1095). It is said that Zhao Xu, the emperor of song zhezong, once paid homage to this temple. The temple has preserved the holy tripod and is still in good condition. With a large temple and many statues, it has been the first of the three major temples in Tongchuan Prefecture for a long time. Laojun temple has a long history. It has gone through the Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The temple is magnificent in construction and elegant in layout. The original triple hall includes the first hall, wusheng hall, the second hall, Laojun hall and the third hall, Yuhuang hall. There are more than 120 mu of land in Guanyou, which are rented to 4 tenants for farming; there are several big slopes in Caoshan mountain, and selling firewood can provide the annual living expenses of more than 10 people. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, after the "land reform" movement, the property was confiscated and distributed to the farmers who had no land and little land for cultivation. The monk returned to the secular life and went home to work in his hometown. In 1953, it was under the jurisdiction of Lezhi county. In 1955, there was no one in charge of Guanfang, so Guanfang was removed and used to repair Kongsi village primary school. The temple, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and statues were destroyed. after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the county Party committee and the county people's government implemented the religious policy, and the local believers began to resume their Taoist life. In February 1993, many Taoist believers spontaneously formed a reconstruction leading group to prepare and plan for the restoration and construction of Laojun temple, raise funds, collect money, donate materials and work, and received full support from Taoist believers. For more than a thousand years, the ancient view has changed its appearance. Laojun temple has five halls, the first hall is wusheng hall, the second hall is Laojun hall, the third hall is Yuhuang hall, the fourth hall is Tanghuang hall, and the fifth hall is Caishen hall, with a construction area of 896 square meters. There are 62 statues of Bodhisattvas and gods, including Guan Yu, Guan Ping, Zhou Cang, Lao Jun, Yu Huang, God of wealth, Emperor Li Shimin of Tang Dynasty, Sanguan, Guanyin, Manjusri, Puxian, eighteen Arhats, Lei Gong, Dianmu, eyesight, earth mother, lamp, king of medicine, etc., including 5 wood carvings, 15 clay carvings, 1 Jade Buddha, and the rest are stone carvings. The living area covers an area of 768 square meters, with a theater building, 23 kitchens, Taoist houses and guest rooms, and complete living facilities such as Zhaitang. There is a pond with an area of 34 square meters. More than 4000 trees are planted inside and outside the view, with quiet scenery and beautiful environment. there are 5 guanjin Taoists in laojunguan, the abbot of which is Tian Chengzong, more than 600 people are converted to Buddhism, and more than 10000 people are believers in Taoism. The first and fifteenth day of the lunar calendar is the monthly class meeting. In addition, there are also nine meetings in the first month, Guanyin meeting in February, June and September, Niangniang meeting in March, single sword meeting in May, mid yuan meeting in July, blood basin meeting in October and full meeting in December. Among them, the most ceremonious one is the Niangniang Association on March 23 of the lunar calendar, with tens of thousands of people participating in the activities, not only from the county, but also from other counties and provinces (Yunnan, Chongqing, Shaanxi and Guizhou).
