Qiaoxi Township

Qiaoxi township is located in the northeast of Cangxi County. Provincial roads Cangxi Wangcang road and yujiazui maming road run through the township, 83 kilometers away from Lingjiang town. The township covers an area of 63.3 square kilometers, governs 14 administrative villages (communities), with a total population of 10460 people (2017), and has three market towns: qiaoxichang, yujiazui and Daping. General situation

Qiaoxi township is located in the northeast of Cangxi County, adjacent to Dongxi town in the East, Shizao Township in the south, Xinguan Township and Yonghe Township in the west, and Zhanghua town in Wangcang County in the north. Cangxi Wangcang highway runs through the countryside. It covers an area of 63.3 square kilometers. It governs Cangqiao community, 14 villages (communities) including Changhe, Jinshui, Sanxi, Yunfeng, Panlong, Xiaozhai, Jinlong, Jianshan, Baiya, Fuqiang, Qishan, Baiguo and Chuanzhu, 99 groups (including 1 resident group), with a total population of 10460 (2017). Historical evolution

In October 1933, the workers' and peasants' Red Army built a Soviet village in Qiaoxi, which was under the jurisdiction of Dongshi Township before the founding of the people's Republic of China; in 1951, Qiaoxi Township People's government was established; in 1952, Qiaoxi Township and Yuxiang Township were set up separately; in 1955, the two townships were merged and still Qiaoxi township; in 1958, it was changed into Qiaoxi Township People's government; in October 1992, Qiaoxi township was removed to build a town, and Qiaoxi Township Office was set up, which was subordinate to Dongxi town; in October 1994, the township system was improved, Qiaoxi Township was It is under the jurisdiction of Dongxi office. The township is located in mountainous areas, with high terrain in the northwest and low terrain in the southeast. The mountains fluctuate greatly, and the valleys are deep and narrow. The East River flows through seven villages in the east of the territory from north to south, with an average altitude of 550-780 meters. The highest altitude is 1187.4 meters in jiubafu, which borders Shizao township. The lowest altitude is 424 meters in the intersection of Panlong River and East River, with an average altitude of 650 meters. It belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate with good vegetation coverage. The annual average temperature is 16.3 ℃, the extreme maximum temperature is 39.1 ℃, the minimum temperature is - 4.8 ℃, the frost free period is 260-280 days, the annual average rainfall is 1080 mm, the rainfall is abundant, and there are many gales and autumn floods.

Economic overview

It is mainly agricultural economy, with 428.6 hectares of cultivated land, including 328.3 hectares of farmland and 100.3 hectares of land. There are two small (I) reservoirs, 56 Shanping ponds and 135 micro pools, with a total water storage capacity of 1.59 million cubic meters. The effective irrigation area is 300 hectares, mainly producing rice, wheat, corn and sweet potato; the economic crops, forestry and fruit industry include kiwi fruit, Chinese herbal medicine, orchid and winter peach; the animal husbandry mainly includes pig, rabbit, cattle and sheep.

There are 95 kilometers of village roads in the township, 15 kilometers of Dongxi Wangcang road and 12.7 kilometers of Yonghe yujiazui road. Fujiacao, located in Shiniu village, Yonghe Township, has a dam height of 25 meters, a rainwater collection area of 0.5 square kilometers, a total storage capacity of 1.05 million cubic meters, and a designed irrigation area of 4300 mu. It is used to irrigate 44 groups of 7 villages in Qiaoxi Township, 4 groups of 1 village in Yonghe Township, 2 groups of 1 village in Zhanghua Town, and 115 mu of fish culture water. The dam crest is 1050m above sea level.

Baihua reservoir:

Located in group 7 of Chuanzhu village, Qiaoxi Township, the dam is 38 meters high, the outlet tunnel is 320 meters long, the fish culture water surface is 61 mu, the rainwater collection area is 0.4 square kilometers, the total storage capacity is 833000 cubic meters, and the designed irrigation surface is 1340 mu, which is for group 26 of 6 villages in Qiaoxi township.
