Huangni town
Huangni town is located 29 kilometers south of Xuyong County in Sichuan Province. It is commonly known as huangnizui. It connects Houshan town in the East, Fenshui town in the south, Baila Township in benxian county and Gaotian Township in Yunnan Province in the west, Lianghe town in the north, and Xuwei highway runs through the whole area. Huangni town used to be the place where the red army passed during the Long March, and it was also the main area for the guerrillas in southern Sichuan. It was a typical old revolutionary base area. Wenchang palace, the original residence of the town government, was built in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is a county-level cultural relics protection unit (being declared as a municipal cultural relics protection unit). In 2001, it moved into a new office building, ending the history of working in temples.
