Weituo town
Weituo Town, belonging to Hechuan District of Chongqing, is located on the Bank of Fujiang River in the western suburb of Hechuan district. It borders heyangcheng street in the East, Tongxi town in the south, Anju town in Tongliang District in the west, Taihe Town and Dashi street in the north. History of construction
In the early Qing Dynasty, Weituo farm was built around Weituo town. Qing Yongzheng six years (1728) belong to Hezhou to Suli. In 1906, it belonged to Liren township of Hezhou.
Weituo township was established in 1926. In 1931, Weituo township was changed to Weituo Town, belonging to the eighth District of Hechuan county. In 1932, it belonged to the fourth district. In July 1941, Weituo town was changed to Weituo township.
After December 1949, it belongs to the Sixth District (Weituo District).
In February 1953, Weixin township was established from Weituo township.
In February 1956, Weixin township was merged into Weituo township.
In September 1958, Weituo township was changed into Weituo commune.
In December 1983, Weituo commune was changed into Weituo township.
In December 1993, Weituo Township and Fangxi Township merged to establish Weituo town.
On April 30, 2005, Youqiao town was merged into Weituo town.
