Line Town, which belongs to Qianjiang District of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Qianjiang district. It borders jiamachi town in Xianfeng County of Hubei Province in the East, Wuli Township in the south, Pengdong Township in the southwest, Zhengyang Street in the west, zhoubai street in the northwest and jiamachi town in Xianfeng County of Hubei Province in the northeast, with a total area of 49.84 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, lin'e town belonged to Luoli Wuli township; in November 2001, it was changed from lin'e township to lin'e town. As of June 2020, lin'e town has two communities and four administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in shashachang.

History of construction
In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Wuli township of Luoli.
In 1928, it belonged to the first district and was the 11th to 15th Baotou of Wuli township.
In April 1951, Pengdong township was set up from Wuli Township, belonging to Hekou District.
In 1958, the neighboring Hubei commune was established by Wuli Township and Pengdong township.
In May 1983, lin'e commune was changed into lin'e township.
In November 2001, it was changed from lin'e township to lin'e town.
