Beiwenquan street, belonging to Beibei District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Beibei City, at the south foot of Jinyun Mountain, adjacent to wentangxia section of Jialing River in the East, longfengqiao street in the south, Xiema town in the West and Chengjiang town in the north, with a total area of 24.8 square kilometers.
In 1930, Beiwenquan street was located in Beibei Township, Baxian county. In April 2004, Beiwenquan town was changed from Beiwenquan town to Beiwenquan street. History of construction
In 1930, it belonged to Beibei township of Ba County. In 1936, it belonged to Chaoyang town. In July 1942, Jingang township was set up in Chaoyang town.
In September 1958, Jingang Township and Longfeng Township merged to form Jinlong commune.
In April 1962, Jinlong commune was abolished and divided into Longfeng commune and Jingang commune.
In October 1966, Jingang commune was renamed Hongguang commune.
In May 1972, Hongguang commune was changed into Jingang commune.
In July 1982, Jingang commune was changed into Jingang township.
In March 1985, Jingang township was renamed jingangbei township.
In November 1992, jingangbei township was merged with the original Beiquan street to build Beiwenquan town.
In April 2004, Beiwenquan town was replaced by Beiwenquan street.
