History of construction
In the 16th year of King Cheng of Zhou Dynasty (1027 BC), it belonged to Jiangzhou.
In the late Warring States period, it belonged to Jiangzhou county.
In 487, it belonged to Dianjiang County.
In 561, the first year of Baoding in the Northern Dynasty and the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Dianjiang County was abolished and Baxian county was established.
In 1929, Chongqing was established as a city. In 1935, it was the first district of Chongqing. In 1939, it was the Second District of Chongqing.
In June 1950, it belongs to the first district of Chongqing.
On November 23, 1955, the first district was renamed Shizhong District, and jianjiaqiao street was established in the same year.
In February 1958, jianjiaqiao street was renamed Jiefangbei street.
In September 1958, Linjiangmen street, dayanggou Street (all), Guihua street and guanjingxiang street were merged into Jiefangbei street.
