Huangcun area

Huangcun district is located in the town (area) under the jurisdiction of Daxing District, in the north of the District, 20 kilometers away from the city center. It has jurisdiction over 10 communities and 52 administrative villages. The Office (town government) is located at 9 Qingyuan Road. Jingshan railway, Jingjiu railway, Huangliang railway, the Fifth Ring Road, the Sixth Ring Road transit.

Historical evolution

Huangcun commune was built in 1958 and the town was built in 1981. In 1996, it covers an area of 35 square kilometers and has a population of 140000. In 2000, Lucheng town and Suncun Township were abolished and merged into Huangcun town. In 2001, Xingfeng street, Linxiao road street and Qingyuan street were set up in the administrative area of Huangcun Town, while the organizational system of Huangcun town was retained. At the end of 2002, the town government was stationed at No. 9 Qingyuan Road, covering an area of 107 square kilometers, with a population of 153300. On November 3, 2005, Huangcun District Office was officially established. At the end of 2006, it covers an area of 65.55 square kilometers and has a population of 135000. It has jurisdiction over one community and 52 administrative villages (according to the Beijing administrative division manual). In 2009, the town covers an area of 122.9 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 57000, including 38000 agricultural population, 19000 non-agricultural population and 118000 floating population. It governs 55 administrative villages and one community (according to Daxing Yearbook 2010). As of 2017, there were 128412 permanent residents.

In the first ten days of May 2014, the Ministry of Environmental Protection released the environmental impact report of Beijing new airport project, which confirmed that the Beijing new airport will be located in the North Bank of Yongding; at that time, Huangcun area will show unlimited development potential.
