Benhao Town, subordinate to Lingshui Li Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the northwest of Lingshui Li Autonomous County, adjacent to timong Township in the East, Wenluo town in the south, Shiling Town in Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County in the west, and Taiping Town in Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County in the North. The town people's government is about 15 kilometers away from the county. The total area is 187 square kilometers.
In 1951, Baoting County local government was established under the jurisdiction of Baoting county. In May 2002, zuguan town and Dali Township were merged. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the town was 33199. As of June 2020, the town has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in huoshaojiao Village (now Junpu Village).
