Jiangzhou town
Jiangzhou Town, subordinate to Jiangzhou District, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Jiangzhou District, Chongzuo city. It is adjacent to Luobai Township in the East, Banli Township in the southeast, Ningming County in the South and West, and Taiping Town in the north. The administrative area of Jiangzhou town is 279.11 square kilometers. In late 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 49000.
In the Northern Song Dynasty, jiangjimi Prefecture was established to govern today's Jiangzhou. In the early Yuan Dynasty, jiangjimo was changed into jiangtuzhou. In the 24th year of Zhiyuan (1287), jiangtuzhou was changed to Siming road. In 1368, the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, jiangtuzhou was changed into Siming Prefecture. In 1387, jiangtuzhou was under the jurisdiction of luobaitu county. In 1984, Jiangzhou commune was transformed into Jiangzhou township. In 1989, there were 12 village offices and 75 villages in Jiangzhou township. In 1995, Jiangzhou township was transformed into Jiangzhou town. As of June 2020, Jiangzhou town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 11 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Jiangzhou community.
