Dashanjiang Street

Dashanjiang street is under the jurisdiction of Wuchuan City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the southeast of Wuchuan City, adjacent to Qinba town in the East, Nanhai in the south, Meilu street in the West and Bopu street in the north. With a total area of 22.5 square kilometers, the street has 6 communities and 29 resident groups, with a permanent population of 23964 (2010).

Evolution of organizational system

Dashanjiang has a history of more than 40 years. In 1961, it was separated from Meilu commune and established into a commune. It is located in dashanjiangwei, and has eight brigades (eight brigades are: bomao, Meifeng, hewudi, huangzhuwei, Lingwei, shanjihua, Liangmei, Qinbang), and five natural villages. In August 1983, it was changed into a district, and the original eight brigades were changed into townships. In March 1987, eight townships under the original district were changed into village committees. In November 1987, the township was changed into a town, and the original eight village committees were changed into management areas. In March 1997, due to the establishment of Haibin street in Wuchuan City, some villages in bomao, hewudi and Meifeng administrative districts and huangzhuwei administrative district were separated. The five village committees are: Lingwei, Liangmei, Hedong, shanjihua and Qinbang. In 1997, Dashanjiang town was transformed into Dashanjiang street, which has jurisdiction over six communities: Lingwei, Dongyong, Qinbang, shanjihua, Hedong and Liangmei.
