origin
It is said that Datong Lake is the name of Honghu Lake, a natural lake in the territory. In history, Datong Lake enjoys a certain reputation, and its son lake is also more, its origin is not familiar to people. Due to the changes of history and the increase of human activities, the mother and son lake also changed greatly in the early days of liberation. The process of swamping is speeding up, the lake area is decreasing, and the sub lake is also decreasing. The origin and present of Datong Lake, Zihu lake, Xiaojia lake and Yunfan lake. As far back as the pre Qin period, Datong Lake was a part of the eastern plain of ancient yunmengzedi, which was formed by the flood of the Yangtze River for a long time, and connected with the large and small lakes of Jianghan Plain in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. In history, this area of Datong Lake is a large area of wasteland and arable land. It is commonly known as Tongcheng embankment. According to the old records, the Han River (mianshui, Lubai River, Nanxiang River and Dongjing River) frequently washed away the Tongcheng embankment through the luandigou (nantaogou). After eighteen years of Qing Dynasty, the flood water flooded the copper city embankment and slipped into lakes after years of *. Local residents call the lake Tongcheng lake. According to the records of Mianyang Prefecture written by Guangxu, "Tongcheng lake is one hundred Li south of the prefecture, with a circumference of 60-70 Li.". It is connected with Yangqi Lake (now under the jurisdiction of Xiaogang farm). Tongcheng lake is known as "Datong Lake". Historically, the water level of Datong Lake was more than 100 square kilometers in normal times, which was much higher than that in abnormal years. Xiaojia lake is the largest sub lake of Datong Lake, which was called baijiashe and Denglao Lake in history. The legendary baijiashe lake was formed by subsidence. There were 100 families here. When the subsidence happened, the village sank to the bottom of the lake, so it was named baijiashe (but there is no way to verify). After baijiashe, it was also called denglaohu. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, denglaohu was divided into four clans, Xiao, Xiong, Li and Zhang, each dominating one side, and named the lake by its surname. Later, due to the great influence of Xiao family name, the lake was merged into a unique one, which was called xiaojiahu.
On Yunfan Lake
Yunfan lake is called yunpan Lake in history. The name of the lake can be found in the records of Mianyang in Jiajing, Tongzhi in Hubei and records of Mianyang prefecture (the first day of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty) of the Ming Dynasty. It is also recorded that "niaolinu Lake (today's Lihu Lake), Longchao lake and yunpan Lake are all 200 Li south of the prefecture, reaching Baihu lake.". It is said that the water of yunpan lake is deep, the waves are high, the smoke is dim, and the floating is restless, so it is named yunpan lake. Later, it was falsely called "Yunfan Lake" by homophony. The origin of Yunfan lake is unknown. Before liberation, the water surface of Yunfan Lake included yangjiayuan, Baisha, Qiankun, yaojiayuan, tiechi and Xichi. Yunfan lake was the second largest lake in Datong Lake.
Datong Lake today
Datong Lake farm was established in February 1957. When the site was built, it was named after Datong Lake, the largest lake in its territory. Datong Lake farm is under the jurisdiction of Hubei agriculture, industry and Commerce United Corporation. It is one of the three major farms in Honghu City. Datong Lake farm is a large-scale agricultural enterprise in China, which is based on agriculture, with all-round development of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline and fishery, and integrated management of industry, commerce, construction and transportation. Datong Lake farm is located in the northeast of Honghu City. It reaches Dongjing River in the North (mianshui in ancient times) and faces Dongjing river beach in Xiantao City; Neijing River in the South (now Sihu main canal; Xiashui and Changxia River in ancient times) and dashahu farm; Xintan town in the East; huangjiakou town in the West. Datong Lake reclamation area is between 11334 "11349" E and 2955 "3008 n. The reclamation area has a total area of 142.39 square kilometers and 65 natural villages. Datong Lake farm belongs to the plain area of the lake area. The original Datong Lake, with an area of 100.44 square kilometers at normal water level, is the third largest lake in Honghu City. After 37 years of reclamation and large-scale comprehensive agricultural development, Datong Lake and its sub lakes, Xiaojia lake, Yunfan lake and beach have basically disappeared. What we are facing are 35000 mu of intensive aquaculture ponds, 31000 mu of green forest land and 89000 mu of fertile farmland. The former wasteland and marshland and the washed nest of schistosomiasis no longer exist. Today, it is full of vitality in this hot land, and a new large-scale agricultural enterprise is presented in front of people. In 1957, reclaimers from all over the country gathered to cultivate wasteland and established the Datong Lake farm. Over the past half century, after several generations of people engaged in land reclamation, the farm industry, agriculture, commerce, trade and transportation have developed rapidly, and the comprehensive economic strength has been continuously improved. In April 2002, Hubei agricultural reclamation system was reformed, and the farms were managed by Jingzhou City, and Datong Lake Management Area of Jingzhou City was established. In October 2005, the farm was under the management of the county and urban area, and the Datong Lake Management Area of Honghu City was established, and the farm signboard was retained. In terms of specialty aquaculture, the annual output of shellfish is 129 tons, including 8 tons of turtle, nearly 100 tons of crab, and 160 tons of eel. there is great potential for industrial development. In 2006, the industrial output value of the whole district was 80 million yuan, and the main product output was 6 million jin of processed edible oil, 2.9 million yuan of lint, 6 million jin of rice and 10 million jin of feed. In the whole year, the company introduced 11 million yuan of investment, two non-woven fabrics and one paperboard factory. The company has invested in the production of 3500 tons of composite board per year. Shengyuyuan cotton industry has realized joint-stock cooperation and production equipment expansion and transformation, and its production capacity has increased from 1 ton per hour to 3 tons. The industry of the whole region is gradually flourishing. The pace of urban planning and infrastructure construction has been accelerated. In recent years, the management area has invested more than 10 million yuan to build more than 30 kilometers of cement pavement, and all offices in the area are connected with cement roads; more than 2 million yuan has been invested to expand and wash the ditches, and build new water conservancy projects, which effectively solve the problem of poor water flow in large ditches, and greatly improve the production and living conditions of agricultural workers. At a cost of 150000 yuan, the planning and Design Institute is invited to plan and design the urban layout of the farm, improve the urban infrastructure and external circulation system, and ensure the overall function of the town. At present, urban construction has been implemented according to the plan. cultural, educational and health undertakings are booming.
