Yanmeidong Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the northeast of Laiyuan County, bordering Wang'an town and Wulonggou Township in the East, Yangjiazhuang town in the south, Shangzhuang Township in the West and dongtuanbao Township in the north. In 1953, yanmeidong township was built. In 1958, it belonged to Hongguang commune. In 1962, yanmeidong commune was established. In 1984, it was restored to bituminous coal cave township. As of June 2020, yanmeidong township has jurisdiction over six administrative villages including yanmeidong village, suijiazhuang village, jingjiatan village, nanlizhuang village, tu'an village and sandaocheng village, and the Township People's government is stationed in yanmeidong village.
In 2011, the total agricultural output value of yanmeidong township was 16.6 million yuan, and the total financial revenue was 5.4 million yuan. The net income per capita is 945 yuan.
