Yongcheng new city
Yongcheng new town, also known as Dongcheng District of Yongcheng City, is the seat of Yongcheng municipal government. Yongcheng new city is 92 km from Shangqiu in the west, 77 km from Xuzhou in the East, 275 km from Zhengzhou, 245 km from Hefei and 300 km from Nanjing. Qingfu railway connects Longhai railway, Beijing Kowloon Railway, Beijing Shanghai railway and Zhengzhou Xuzhou high-speed railway to form a triangle railway network; National Highway 311, Lianhuo expressway, Yongdeng Expressway and Ji Qi Expressway pass through the area, and highways in the area extend in all directions, and reach both inside and outside the province.

Evolution of organizational system
According to archaeological excavation, there are more than 10 human settlements in the late primitive society in Yongcheng city. Wangyoufang site, zaolutai and heidui are all within the scope of Longshan culture. The place names with historical records in the territory include Yong (today's Xicheng District), Ji (today's zheshuji east of Shibali town), Wei (today's Yicheng Ji), Longkang (today's Longgang Ji), Wei (today's Xinqiao Ji), gouqiu (today's Taiqiu Ji), mang (today's Liuzhai village south of Chenji town), Dang (today's Shancheng Ji of Mangshan town), Wei (today's Huicun Ji), jiao (today's Erlangmiao lake of houling township). Yongcheng, formerly known as mapucheng, was established as a county in the sixth year of Daye (AD 610) of Sui Dynasty, with a history of more than 1400 years.
Pre Qin Dynasty
The wangyoufang site unearthed in Xucheng town shows that people lived in Yongcheng as early as the end of the primitive society, and developed agriculture, fishing and hunting, and handicraft industry.
Dayu established Jiuzhou, Yongcheng belonged to Yuzhou. In the Shang Dynasty, there were two small countries, Jiguo and Youguo. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, most of Yongcheng belonged to the state of song, and the southwest belonged to the state of Jiao. In the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, most of them belonged to the state of song, and the southwest belonged to Jiao, Chen and Chu.
Qin and Han Dynasties
After Qin Shihuang destroyed the state of Wei, Dang county was set up in Mangdangshan area to govern Dang county (today's Mangshan town). Mang county (today's Chenji Town, south of Liuzhai Village) and Mian County (today's mianchengji) were set up in the territory, belonging to Sishui county. In 206 BC, it belonged to Xiang Yu's western Chu state.
In the Han Dynasty, mang County, Gan County, Jingqiu Marquis state (today's Taiqiu Collection) and Jiancheng Marquis state (today's erlangmiaohu in houling township) belonged to Qiao County of Pei state, while Dang County in the North (today's Mangshan town) belonged to Liang state. Wei, Jin, southern and Northern Dynasties.
During the Wei, Jin and southern and Northern Dynasties, the five counties of linsui, Taiqiu, Jianping, Xucheng and Dang under the jurisdiction of Yongcheng changed frequently. From the end of Han Dynasty to Wei Dynasty, Yongcheng County belonged to Qiao County; in the early Western Jin Dynasty, linsui County, Taiqiu county and Jianping County were merged into Qi County, which belonged to Qiao state, while Dang county was merged into Xiayi County, which was still in Liang state (also known as Liang County).
During the period of the Sixteen Kingdoms, the counties belonged to houzhao, Qianyan and qianqin respectively. After the war of Feishui, they returned to the jurisdiction of the Eastern Jin Dynasty; in the third year of Yongchu of the Southern Song Dynasty (422), they were under the jurisdiction of Liangjun; in the first year of Yuanhui (473), "Xuzhou was set up, Xinchang County was set up, and Mianxian was under the jurisdiction of Xuxian"; after the establishment of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Mianxian was under the jurisdiction of qiaozhou linxu County, and later abolished; in the 21st year of Taihe (497), Yongcheng county was under the jurisdiction of Xujun Zhouliang County; in the fourth year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (546), the southwest of the county was Xiayi county area of Matou County in southern Yanzhou, and the Northeast was Dang county area of Dang County in Xuzhou; in the Northern Qi Dynasty, Anyang County (now baoanshan south of Mangshan town) was set up in the territory, and Dang county was merged into Pengcheng county. During this period, the counties under the jurisdiction of Yongcheng county were merged into Min County, and Min county was the main county.
Sui and Tang Dynasties
Sui Daye six years (610), cut Pengcheng, Suiyang two counties, set Yongcheng County, located in mapucheng (today's western city) three miles northeast.
In the early Tang Dynasty, Mian County belonged to Pei county. In 622, Yongcheng county was moved to mapucheng (a high mountain, also known as Wuying mountain). In 643, Mian and Yongcheng counties were directly under the jurisdiction of Bozhou, while Dangshan County was under the jurisdiction of Songzhou.
Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties
In Houliang, Dangshan County was upgraded to Huizhou; in later Tang Dynasty, Dangshan County was restored to Danzhou by abolishing Huizhou, and Bozhou by Yongcheng and Mian counties.
In the song and Yuan Dynasties, Yongcheng county was only under the jurisdiction of Yongcheng county and Jue county. In the Jin Dynasty, Yongcheng county and Jue county were both under the jurisdiction of Bozhou, Nanjing Road. In December 1221, Yongcheng was an important place in Huaibei, so Baoan military town was set up in Mangshan area, Yongcheng county was changed into Yongzhou, which was separated from Bozhou, and Yongcheng County, Xiayi County, Dangshan County and Jue county were under the jurisdiction of Yongcheng county. In 1265, Jue County entered the Yuan Dynasty Yongzhou was demoted to Yongcheng County, and Mangdangshan was under the jurisdiction of Yongcheng county. In the 25th year of the Yuan Dynasty, guide mansion was renamed Bianliang Road, and Yongcheng was attached to it.
Ming and Qing Dynasties
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Yongcheng county changed little, and its administrative divisions mainly changed between Kaifeng Prefecture and guide Prefecture.

On July 29, 2020, Yongcheng new town was reconfirmed as a national health township (county) by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
