Zhangge town

Zhangge town is located in the middle of Liangyuan District, Shangqiu City, Henan Province. It is located in the core area of Shangqiu integration. It is the east gate of Shangqiu central city and the key development area of Shangqiu City Master Plan (2015-2030). It is adjacent to Shangqiu economic and Technological Development Zone, East Henan comprehensive logistics cluster area and Yucheng County. The planned development area of Shangqiu ecological food industrial park is located in the south of the town, away from Shangqiu City The center is 12 kilometers.

Since the establishment of Shangqiu new area, the urban construction of Zhangge town has been promoted rapidly. It has jurisdiction over 16 communities and administrative villages with a total population of 36200 (in 2017) and a town area of 40 square kilometers.

Zhangge town has superior location and convenient transportation. Longhai railway, Zhengzhou Xuzhou high speed railway, Shanghang high speed railway, Jinan Guangzhou expressway, national highway 310, East Changjiang Road and Mulan Avenue run through the whole town.

Zhangge commune was established in 1958 and changed to town in 1983. In 1997, it covers an area of 40 square kilometers and has a population of 29000. It has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages including zhudian, Lingge, Yangzhuang, Shenji, Zhangtang, Zhangge, Chenzhuang, xiamiao, shenpaifang, Zhongzhuang, Changzhuang, Yulou, sunxiaolou, Sunji, Dongxi and Dongdong.
