Guxian town in Jiaodong area is an ancient town with a long cultural history. More than half of the 40 villages under the jurisdiction of the town are named after the history of Guxian. In other words, the names of these villages represent the historical and cultural origins of Guxian. It is the source of Donglai civilization.
Guxian Town, 50 Li East of Pingdu City, is an important historical town. There are two villages, dazhumao and qianzhumao, 15 Li southeast of the town. The name of the village comes from the residence of Zhumao, a senior official in the spring and Autumn period. In 507 BC, after Qi linggong destroyed Lai, he built the city here. Because the city is adjacent to the ink River in the west, it is called Jimo City, which means to be near. Zhumao village is located in the inner city, which is the center of Jimo ancient city. The old city of Jimo is also called Zhumao city because it has Zhumao village. In the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Ji, king of Kang of Jiaodong state, established his capital in the old city of Jimo, so it is also called Kangwang city.
Jimo's old city has a large scale, second only to Linzi, the capital of Qi, and is the lower capital of Qi. It is only 10 Li from the north to the South and about 5 li from the east to the West. At that time, the city was the political, economic and cultural center of the seven counties under its jurisdiction. According to the research, the longhuhou copper mine site in the north of the city, the Malan talc mining area in the west, the tielingzhuang iron mine site in the north, and a large number of knives and coins of the state of Qi found in the city all show that Kangwang city is a highly civilized ancient city. In recent years, large hollow bricks (one meter long and more than 40 cm wide) with dragon patterns and seven plinths with a diameter of more than 80 cm have been found in the ruins of the old city, which proves the magnificence of the palace buildings in the city. The old city of Jimo was abandoned in the 17th year of kaihuang of Sui Dynasty. According to the research, it was due to the war and the deterioration of the natural environment, which resulted in the lack of water resources and the impossibility of waterway transportation, the main mode of transportation.
About 3 li southwest of Zhumao village, there are big city west and small city west. The two villages are named according to the location of Jimo old city. Because the village is located in the west of inner city, it is named Chengxi village.
Five li to the west of Zhumao village, there are two villages, Nanchengzi and Beichengzi, which are located in the west wall of Jimo old city. According to the research, these two villages were the places where the workers and their families lived at that time. The village near the north gate is called Beichengzi. Nanchengzi is two Li south of Beichengzi, so Nanchengzi was appointed. It has been used since the establishment of the village. Near two villages, there is a river, which is the name of the old city of Jimo. Because the soil at the bottom of the river is like ink, which reflects the water black, it is called the ink river. Ink river is also the moat of Jimo City.
In Zhumao village, there is a paper workshop in 2 li
