Huangxi town

Huangxi Town, formerly known as wangjiadu, is one of the ancient towns in Yujiang District of Yingtan City, located in the middle of Yujiang District, Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province. The total area of the town is 46 square kilometers, most of the town belongs to the valley plain area, the terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. Xinjiang River and Baita river flow through the town. There are 8 reservoirs in the town. In the north, it is close to Xinjiang River, with Yingtan on the top and provincial capital on the bottom. National Highway 206 passes through Dukou and Dianqian village, and the district road connects with national highway 320.

On December 24, 2019, it will be included in the list of national rural governance demonstration towns.

Famous people

Zou Taofen (1895-1944), formerly known as Enrun, was a native of Shatang village, Dukou village committee, Huangxi Town, Yujiang district. He started to study classical classics at the age of 5, studied in Nanyang public school at the age of 18, and graduated from St. John's University in 1921. In the 11th year of the Republic of China, Huang Yanpei was introduced as the director of China Vocational Education Society. He was in charge of editing the monthly journal of education and occupation and the series of vocational education.
