Nodding town

Nodding Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Fuding City, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the middle of Fuding City, adjacent to Shacheng Lianggang in the East, Taimushan town in the south, Zherong County in the West and Fuding City in the north. The area is 118.74 square kilometers. In late 2018, the number of registered residence households was 42152.

Nodding used to be called Diantou. Because it was outside of Sundian, "dian" and "dian" were homophonic, it was later renamed nodding. It is also called Jianshan because it stands there. In June 1961, the nodding area was restored. In June 1968, it was changed into nodding commune. In 1983, it returned to nodal district. In 1987, it was changed into nodding town. As of June 2020, nodding town has a total of 18 administrative villages and 1 residents committee.

In 2018, there were 277 industrial enterprises in nodding Town, including 15 Enterprises above Designated Size and 16 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Nodding town originally belonged to the 20 capitals of yaoxiangli, Quanru Township, Changxi County, Funing Prefecture. In 1739, Fuding county was established as the 15 capitals of Fuding county.

In 1940, Diantou town was set up.

In June 1949, the District of nod was set up.

In August 1958, nodding commune was established.

In June 1961, the nodding area was restored.

In June 1968, it was changed into nodding commune.

In 1983, it returned to nodal district.

In 1987, it was changed into nodding town.

At the end of 2011, nodou town had jurisdiction over three residents' committees, namely, nodou, Zhenjiang and Wenchang, and 18 villagers' committees, namely, Jianshan, shanzhe, xiyangwei, Guoyang, Houliang, sanshaxi, Mayang, Jiangmei, DAE, Shangzhai, Guanyang, Houjing, Bailiu, wengxi, Guojian, Daping Juzhou and Longtian.

As of June 2020, nodding town has three residents committees, 18 administrative villages and people's government at No. 58 Qingfeng road.

The terrain of nodding town is composed of mountain, hill and coastal plain. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East, with shachengwan inclining from west to east; in the west, it is dominated by low mountains, with the highest peak at 1050 meters above sea level; in the East, the coastal plain of shachengwan is only 3-5 meters above sea level.

Nodou town has a subtropical marine monsoon climate, with annual average temperature of 18.2 ℃, annual average precipitation of 1500 mm, annual sunshine of 1727.3 hours, annual dominant wind direction of southeast wind, mild climate, abundant rainfall, sufficient light and evergreen all year round.

The main rivers in nodou town are Jianshan stream, Guanyang stream, wuyanli small tributary and meiaoli small tributary. Jianshanxi basin covers an area of 23.4 square kilometers with a flow of 124 cubic meters per second. Guanyang river basin covers an area of 6.55 square kilometers with a flow of 203 cubic meters per second.
