Jinsha township is located 6 kilometers west of the county, adjacent to Fengcheng town and Xixi Township in the East, suburban township in the south, Xianshi Township in the west, Hexi Township in the north and Rentian town in Shanghang, covering an area of 51.3 square kilometers. The township government is located in Xitian village. There are 6 administrative villages and 52 villager groups in the township, including 7 revolutionary villages. In 2000, there were 1393 households and 6013 people in the township. Han nationality, speaking Hakka dialect.
Evolution of organizational system
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to XINANLI of Yongding. During the period of the Republic of China, it was the first district, Jinsheng township. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was called Jinsha District, Xinan District, eighth District, Jinsha Township and Jinsha commune. It was incorporated into Chengguan commune in 1970. When Fengcheng town was built in 1983, it was a suburban township. In November 1984, it was separated from suburban township and restored to Jinsha township.

It mainly produces rice, flue-cured tobacco, vegetables, bamboo and wood processing, building materials, etc.

Convenient transportation. Yonghang highway runs through the township, 21 kilometers away from Fengren of Shanghang and 12 kilometers away from Xianshi railway station. It has realized the connection between every village and road, and most of the roads have been transformed into cement roads.

From 1988 to 2000, the township successively put forward the economic development strategies of "prospering the township with science and technology, taking the suburban economic road" and "giving full play to the four advantages and doing a good job in the four articles". The township's economy developed continuously and stably, and all social undertakings developed in an all-round way.
In 2000, the total social output value was 46.93 million yuan, 6.1 times higher than that of 6.653 million yuan in 1988. Among them, the total industrial output value was 8.01 million yuan, 14 times higher than that of 524 000 yuan in 1988; the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 19.58 million yuan, 5.1 times higher than that of 3.22 million yuan in 1988; the total output value of township enterprises was 14.127 million yuan, 5 times higher than that of 2.31 million yuan in 1988. The annual total fiscal revenue was 4.379 million yuan, 17.8 times higher than 233 thousand yuan in 1988, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2919 yuan, 3.2 times higher than 691 yuan in 1988.
Since 1988, the township has taken the stabilization of grain and tobacco as an important measure. Through the comprehensive development of mountainous areas, the development of breeding industry, the promotion of winter agriculture, and the improvement of multiple cropping index, not only the economic benefits of agriculture have been improved, but also a large number of professional farmers have been cultivated.
In 2000, the planting area of fruit was 1895 mu, 2.5 times that of 1988; the number of live pigs was 4862, 7525, 1.6 and 3.3 times that of 1988 respectively; the total output of meat was 624 tons, 2.88 times that of 1988; the output of aquatic products was 92 tons, 2.9 times that of 1988; the total output of grain was 3754 tons, 1.25 times that of 1988; the output of flue-cured tobacco was 93 tons, 9 tons less than that of 1988. The specialty is Tulou brand "Yongding Caigan", which was awarded "the first consumer trustworthy product in Fujian Province" by the provincial consumer committee in 1985. In 1996, the factory was designated as "national price measurement point unit" by the Provincial Bureau of statistics and the Consumer Council. From 1991 to 1997, it won the title of "contract abiding and credit keeping unit" for seven consecutive years. In 2000, Yongding jinshajiaogan was awarded the gold award of provincial agricultural products exhibition again. As one of the natural green delicacies, the banana fruit is very delicious and golden in color. It is favored by the majority of consumers and becomes another specialty of Jinsha.
In 1986, the township compiled "Jinsha market town master plan". Since 1988, with the development of Jinsha new street and the reconstruction of Jinlan broken road, the construction of the market town has made rapid progress and the infrastructure has been improving day by day. By 2000, the main street was 315 meters wide and 14.6 meters wide, forming a prosperous market town with the township government as the center, agriculture, forestry, water and electricity, supply and marketing, commerce, finance, culture and health and other units, as well as residential buildings and shops. The reconstruction work of Xitian and Chizhu new villages has achieved phased results, and the planning and construction project of Xiajin new village has been completed. Due to the landslide, 34 households in Shangjin dangerous area were resettled. In the reservoir area of Mianhuatan Hydropower Station, 926 people from 216 households in wukeng village of Hongshan Township moved to fengshupai. The construction of the new immigrant village began to take shape, and the main street of the town extended to fengshupai.
Science, education, culture and health
Since 1988, we have increased investment in science, technology and education, and actively encouraged all sectors of society to donate money to assist teaching. As a result, the school running conditions of primary and secondary schools in the township have been greatly improved, and the quality of education and teaching has been steadily improved. In 2000, there was one rural cultural and technical school with six teaching sites, one junior middle school, one central primary school, three primary schools, three junior middle schools, 312 middle school students and 706 primary school students. The first batch of students passed the nine-year compulsory education and the "two basic" acceptance. There is a hospital with 13 medical staff and 6 beds. The medical facilities have been continuously improved, and the outpatient building of the health center with an investment of 250000 yuan has been built. Cable telephone and mobile phone were opened, cable TV was connected to the Internet, and rural power grid transformation was completed.
