Wuyi Street

Wuyi street is located in the south central part of Wuyishan City, Nanping City, Fujian Province, with Shangmei Township in the East, Xingtian town in the south, Xingcun town in the West and Yangzhuang Township in the north. Chongyang river runs through the north and south, converges with Meixi River in the East and Huangbai River in the north, and flows into Chongyang River in jiaoting village. The terrain is gentle. Two thirds of the area is hilly, with the highest peak, Lufeng, at an altitude of 927 meters.

It is adjacent to Wuyishan Scenic Spot, 7 kilometers away from the municipal government. It governs 3 communities and 12 administrative villages. Hengnan railway and Fufen highway run through the town. Wuyishan airport is located in China. Tourism is well developed. There are national tourist resorts and provincial tourist economic development zones in the area of Gongguan.

Evolution of organizational system

Wuyi street names follow the ancient times, but the jurisdiction has changed slightly. In the 29th year of the Republic of China, it was once listed as an experimental township. In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was divided into the first district. In 1954, the township system was abolished, and it was merged with Chengguan District and included in the first district (Chengguan District). In 1956, it merged with Xingtian to form chishi district. Shuguang people's commune was established in 1958. It was changed into Wuyi people's commune in 1962, Wuyi Township in 1984 and town in 1994. On the new year's day of 2003, it was transformed into Wuyi sub district office. It governs 12 administrative villages, 120 natural villages and 165 villager groups, including Zhangshu, Zheyang, gaosuban, chishi, Dabu, jiaoting, Tianxin, Gongguan, Xiamei, Xizhou, Wuqi and Huangbai, with a population of 46276 (2010).

geographical environment

Digital Wuyi information stations have been built in 12 administrative villages. Through the unremitting efforts of all cadres and workers in the street, Wuyi Street will be built into a tourism and holiday center integrating high and medium grade villas, hotels, tourism investment, public markets, sightseeing and leisure. In 2008, the street economy grew steadily, and farmers' income increased: the total agricultural output value of the street in 2008 was 277.187 million yuan, an increase of 7.8%, and the total grain output was 16900 tons. The street revenue was 3.62 million yuan (including wages), including 565600 yuan of tobacco specialty tax; 2.847 million yuan of funds were raised; the per capita income was 5401 yuan, an increase of 8%.

Climate products

The street climate is superior. It is warm and humid all year round. The annual average temperature is one degree centigrade. The annual precipitation is more than one millimeter. There are 225000 mu of mountain forest, 27000 mu of paddy field, 32000 mu of cultivated land and 17500 mu of tea garden. Wuyi street is also the main producing area of Wuyi rock tea. The original mother of "Dahongpao", the king of tea, is in jiulongke, Tianxin village. There are 17000 mu tea garden, Tianxin village has a rock tea refining plant, cinnamon and Narcissus are famous products for export. The annual export of Wuyi rock tea is more than 5 million yuan.

In order to speed up the pace of new rural construction and actively promote the process of rural urbanization, Wuyi street has invested more than 80 million yuan to complete the construction of six new villages, including Heli new village, chishi new village, Jingrong community, jiaoting folk custom area, Shuangli community and Gongguan new village, basically forming a large market town development pattern with gaosuban village as the center. Wuyi Central Park, an open park integrating physical exercise, rest and entertainment, covers an area of 330 mu.

Tourism economy is booming, including more than 50 state-owned hotels and Sino foreign joint venture hotels. Two hotels and tourist service stores have been developed in Sangu and Lantang villages. Xiamei village, Wuyi street, has more than 30 ancient dwellings with a long history. The well preserved ones are Zou's ancestral hall, Zou's dafudi, Wanshou Palace, Qianjing, Xishui bieye, etc. Xiamei village is also listed as one of the second batch of famous historical and cultural villages in China announced by the Ministry of construction and the State Administration of cultural relics.

Wuyi street has a glorious history of revolutionary struggle. There are 58 old revolutionary base villages. On June 17, the chishi uprising which shocked the whole country took place at the ferry of chishi river. The tomb of the revolutionary martyrs in chishi is a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.

Famous scenic spots such as Tianyou peak, Dawang peak, Yunv peak, Yingzuiyan, Shuiliandong and Huiyuan are also in the street area.
