Chaping town
Chaping Township, belonging to Songxi County, Nanping City, Fujian Province, is located in the southeast of Songxi County, bordering Longgong Township, Qingyuan County, Zhejiang Province in the East, xiongshan street, Zhenghe County in the south, Zhengdun town in the southwest, Songyuan street in the northwest and Hedong Township in the north. The people's government is located in Chaping village, about 6 kilometers away from the county in the northwest, with a total land area of 84.20 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Chaping township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, there were 15863 people in the jurisdiction.

Historical evolution
In the eighth year of Kaibao in the Northern Song Dynasty (975), it belonged to dongguanli, Dongping Township, and extended to the end of the Qing Dynasty.
In 1928, it belonged to Dongguan District of Dongping Township, then to guanluxia District, Dafeng district and Chengguan District.
In 1940, Dongguan township was established.
In 1941, Dongguan township was renamed mushengping Township, and the county was directly under the central government.
In September 1949, mushengping township was set up, belonging to Chengguan District (later Dafeng District).
In April 1956, four townships, namely, Mu Sheng Ping, Jiang Tun, Wu Tun and Guan Lu, were set up in Ping Township of Mu Province, belonging to Dabu district.
In May 1958, the four townships were merged into Chaping township; in October, Chaping township was changed into a brigade, belonging to the red flag commune.
In August 1962, the analytical tea Ping brigade set up four townships, namely Chaping, Guanlu, Wutun and Jiangtun, belonging to Chengguan District.
In August 1966, the four townships were merged into Chaping commune.
In October 1984, Chaping commune was abolished and Chaping township was established.

The maximum distance from east to west is 10 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 5 kilometers, with a total area of 84.3 square kilometers. Chaping township is located in the Hilly Basin. The terrain can be divided into northeast and southwest middle mountain belt, middle mountain front hilly belt and middle valley plain belt. Zhanlu mountain, the highest peak in the territory, is 1230 meters above sea level; Linxia village, the lowest point, is 284 meters above sea level.

It flows to Hedong Village, Hedong Township, with a length of 25.6 km.
