Yanglao Xiang is located 5 kilometers east of Linzhang County, Handan City, Hebei Province. It covers an area of 28.8 square kilometers and has a population of 38900 (2002). Jurisdiction of 15 administrative villages, township government in the West lamb village. In 1961, the Western lamb commune was established and the township was changed in 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 28.8 square kilometers and has a population of 20000.
Historical evolution
brief introduction
In the Eastern Wei Dynasty and the Northern Qi Dynasty, this area was a shepherd's area, which was rich in lambs, and there was a stand in the pastoral area. Therefore, the villages formed were called "Lambs". According to the records of Linzhang county annals in Zhengde year of Ming Dynasty, it was called Yangyang village and Yangyang community, and became "Yangyang ferry" because the village was beside Zhanghe River. In Jiajing year of Ming Dynasty, it was a lamb. Dong's lamb, Wang's lamb, Li's lamb and Nan's lamb. In the Qing and Xian dynasties, there were Xi lamb, Liu lamb, Zhang lamb, Wen lamb, Yuan lamb, Wang lamb and Nan lamb. Today, there are seven lamb villages in Xi, Nan, Zhong, Liu, Wang, Wen and Zhang.
Chinese lamb
According to the inscriptions of "Taishan Temple", most of the Chinese people have the surname of Li. Because of the duplicate name, Linzhang county government issued a notice on March 2, 1982 to change it to Chinese lamb. There are 457 mu of arable land and 309 agricultural population in China.
Western lamb:
The village is located in the west of Zhongyang, so it is called Xiyang. Now it is divided into four administrative villages

Southern lamb
Ming Wanli 29 stele, the village was originally named Nanxu village. Because the village is located in the south of Zhongyang, it was later renamed Nanyang. The cultivated area of Nanyang lamb is 3963 mu, with an agricultural population of 2308.
During the Anti Japanese War, Nanyang was the center of the party organization activities in Linzhang County, and also the hometown of Wang Shuren, the third secretary of the working committee of Linzhang County, and Wang Wanzhen, a revolutionary martyr.
Warm lamb
The village was named Wen Yangyang because most of its surnames were Wen. The village has 728 mu of arable land and 570 agricultural population.
Lamb of the king
This village is located in the east of Zhongyang, named Dongyang. Because most of the surnames were Wang, it was renamed Wang Yangyang. The village has 3054 mu of arable land and 2042 agricultural population.
Liu Yangyang
This village is located in the north of Zhongyang, once named Beiyang. Because most of the surnames were Liu, they were renamed Liu Yangyang. The village has 2484 mu of arable land and 1761 agricultural population.
Liu Yangyang is the hometown of Dong Lanting, the first party branch secretary of Linzhang county.
Zhang Yangyang
Because most of the surnames were Zhang, they changed their names to Zhang Yangyang. The village has a population of more than 100 people and is an administrative village with Zhongyang (Li Yangyang).
Dongxin Village
According to investigation, this village was called Nanshe village in Ming Dynasty. The village is divided into two rows, the front row is the camp, and the back row is the village. The village is bigger than the camp. It was renamed Xinzhai in 1911. In 1959, it was transferred from Cheng'an to Linzhang. Because of the duplicate name, Linzhang government changed its name to dongxinzhai on March 2, 1982. The village has 3543 mu of arable land and 1609 agricultural population.
Du Chengying
The Northern Song Dynasty was called Du Cheng. Qing Dynasty "Qianlong Zhangde Fu Zhi", known as duying, Xianfeng years still. Since the year of Guangxu, it has been called Du Chengying. The village has a cultivated area of 1950 Mu and an agricultural population of 1604.
Qiliying
According to investigation, the Ming Dynasty stationed troops here. Because the village is located in the southeast of Qihua Li County, it is named qiliying. It has been qiliying since the Qing Dynasty. The village has 1326 mu of arable land and 965 agricultural population.
Zhangchao
In the Northern Song Dynasty, it was called "Zhang Chao" because the village was near the Zhanghe River and used to be a ferry. Linzhang county annals recorded in Zhengde year of Ming Dynasty is Zhangchao ferry. It was Zhang Chao from Qianlong to Guangxu. This is Zhangchao. The village has 3870 mu of arable land and 3047 agricultural population.
Su Zhuang
According to the investigation, in the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the surname Su moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to live here, named SuZhuang. The village has 1452 mu of arable land and 865 agricultural population.
Panzhuang
According to the investigation, in the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the surname pan moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to live here, named Panzhuang. Panzhuang has a population of more than 230 people, and SuZhuang is an administrative village.
Liu Baihe
According to the records of Jiajing Zhangde Prefecture in the Ming Dynasty, the village was originally named "Baihe" and named "liubaihe" after the surname Liu. Later, it evolved into Liu Baihe. The village has 1104 mu of arable land and 699 agricultural population.
