Qinggang town

Qinggang town is the northernmost town in Yuhuan City, which has been known as the north gate of Yuhuan city. The town covers a total area of 54.2 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over one neighborhood committee, 28 administrative villages and 589 villager groups. There are 52000 permanent residents and nearly 40000 immigrants. In the northeast and North, it is adjacent to Chengnan town of Wenling City, Salmonella town in the southeast, Chumen town in the South and Yueqing Bay in the West. No.3 Yingbin Road is the residence of the town government, 13.5km northeast of Yucheng street. The largest river in the territory is the same as Shantang River, which was named Qinggang in ancient times. It was named after the clear water of the harbor, and the name of the town was derived from the name of the harbor.

Historical evolution

The harbor of Qinggang town was formerly called "gugang", but it was renamed Qinggang in Yuan Dynasty. There was qinggangdu. Qinggangli was set up in 1381, the 14th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty. Qinggang village was set up in 1875-1908 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty. It was changed into Qinggang Township in 1934 and Qinggang town in 1936. In 1958, it was a management area under the jurisdiction of Chumen people's commune (Big Commune). In 1961, Qinggang people's commune was established. In 1984, when the government and commune were separated, Qinggang town was restored. In May 1992, when it was "withdrawn, expanded and merged", four administrative villages of Fangdu Township, fantang Township and waitang Township were merged.
