Zhouquan town

Zhouquan town is located at the westernmost end of Tongxiang City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, adjacent to Hangzhou and Huzhou. With convenient land and water transportation, the town is the starting point of Changshan River, with Linghu Changan route, Shenjia Huhang expressway, Chongxin provincial highway, Tongde highway and Linhang Avenue running through the whole area. In 2018, the national health county (township) was reconfirmed.

In October 2019, zhouquan town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

General situation

Zhouquan Town, with an administrative area of 73.32 square kilometers (2017), has jurisdiction over 19 villages and one community, with 66174 people (2017), a new resident population of about 20000, and an urban built-up area of about 10.2 square kilometers.

History and culture

Zhouquan, known as Xiangzhou and Xiangzhou in ancient times, is known as Xiangxi. As early as the Neolithic age, the ancestors have been living here. The huanghecun site excavated so far belongs to the accumulation of late Songze culture, Liangzhu Culture and Maqiao culture; yangjiadaqiao site and shishantou site belong to Liangzhu culture; qujiali site belongs to the accumulation of Liangzhu Culture and Maqiao culture; xiejiadou site belongs to Liangzhu culture, Maqiao culture and Shang and Zhou dynasties. Their products are exported to the Middle East, Russia, South Korea, Japan and European and American countries.

In September 2002, "zhouquan · Zhejiang xinhaopan shoe material market" was established and put into operation. "Zhejiang Zujia shoes market", which integrates product exhibition, sales, storage and transportation, and scientific research, covers an area of 200 mu and a building area of 100000 square meters. It is divided into two phases. The first and second phases have been completed and put into operation at the end of 2006.

Silk Market

This land accounts for half of China's silk quilt industry. Among the nearly 1000 silk quilt production enterprises in China, zhouquan accounts for nearly 20% of the total. Zhouquan town is a typical market town in Jiangnan plain.
