Daqi street is located in the southwest of Beilun District. It is adjacent to Xiapu in the East, Chunxiao town (Sanshan township) in the south, Dongwu town and Wuxiang town in Yinzhou, Xiaogang town in the northwest, and Xinqi, the seat of Beilun government in the north. Named after the residence. In 1077, it was assigned to Dinghai county (Dinghai county was renamed Zhenhai County in the 26th year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty). At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Lingyan and Taiqiu townships in Zhenhai county. In 1936, it was divided into nine townships: Yanyi, Yaner, Shiqiu, Zhama, Daqi (town), Henghe, Wanghe, Taibei and Qingcheng. In August 1946, it was merged into five townships: Yanyi, Yaner, Yansan, Taibei and Qingcheng, and Daqi town. In October 1949, it was changed into Daqi Town, Daqi Township, Jinquan Township and Taiqing township. In June 1950, it was divided into Daqi Town, Hengyang, Xishan, Yingluo, Wuai, Shiqiu, Xinlu, Tashi, CHENGWAN and Qingshui. In 1956, it was changed into Daqi Town, Daqi Township, Fengchan Township, Qingshui Township and Tashi township. Daqi is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in eastern Zhejiang and an important town in Beilun District. In 2002, the total output value of industry and agriculture reached 7.3 billion yuan, and that of industry, agriculture and tertiary industry reached 5.88 billion yuan, 174 million yuan and 1.25 billion yuan respectively. Daqi now has many schools, such as junior college, senior high school, junior high school, primary school and kindergarten. Ningbo Vocational and technical college, Beilun District senior high school, Ningbo Minggang senior high school and Taihe school are all located in the town. Daqi primary school was named Beilun District Experimental Primary School in 1987, and was listed in the list of "strong education towns in Zhejiang Province" in 1997. In 1989, the town cultural station was rated as a provincial special level cultural station, with 2 public libraries, 7 cultural relics protection units above district level, and 4 cultural preservation sites. In 1996, it was named "Donghai cultural pearl town" in Zhejiang Province. In 1986, it was named "hometown of sports" by the provincial government. There are two hospitals (health centers) in the town. The first people's Hospital of Beilun District (Beilun branch of Zhejiang first hospital) is the largest and most advanced hospital in Beilun. Zongrui hospital donated by Gu Guohua, a Hong Kong compatriot, has been renamed Daqi branch of the first people's Hospital of Beilun District. The natural growth rate of population is 0.4%, and the town family planning association is rated as the national advanced Family Planning Association.

Daqi is one of the transportation hubs in Beilun District. 329 national highway is more than 10 kilometers from yuwangling factory to Qingshui township. Tongsan expressway is more than 10 kilometers across the town. Daqi Qingshi highway is connected with Luoxia line. Xinqi Daqi highway connects the two towns closely. Daqi Yangao highway is the new Haikou highway. It is convenient to reach Ningbo in the southwest, Zhenhai in the northwest, Xinqi in the northeast, Chaiqiao and Guoju in the East. Daqi station is set up on the special railway from Beilun port to Ningbo.

Daqi natural town is located in the intersection of Tongsan Expressway and 329 national highway, crossing the two rivers of Yantai.
