Fengshuling town is located in the southwest of Chun'an County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, 42 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Dashu town in the East, Changshan County in the south, Longyuan Township in the West and Qiandao Lake in the north. With an administrative area of 308 square kilometers, the town has 64 administrative villages, 188 villager groups and 17543 people (in 2017).

In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Fenglin Township, Qingfeng Township in Qing Dynasty, and Ruzhuang Township in Republic of China. In the early days of liberation, it was named Fengshuling township; in 1958, it belonged to Dashu commune; in 1961, it was separated from Dashu commune and established Fengshuling commune; in 1984, it was restored and named Fengshuling township; in 1992, the original Fengshuling, xiafeng and Tongshan townships were merged into Fengshuling town; in August 2006, the original Baima and Fengshuling were merged and established as Fengshuling town.

Fengshuling town has unique natural resources. The existing forest area is 362813 mu, the forest coverage rate is 85.1%, and the vegetation is rich. Dayuan forest area, one of the most well preserved primary secondary forests in the province, covers an area of 1200 hectares. There are 14 species of national first class protected tree species, 30 species of second class protected tree species, and 9 species of national first and second class protected animals. The peak in the area is sharpening, with an altitude of 1523 meters, which is the first peak in the county.

It is rich in mineral resources. The tin iron ore planning area in Tongshan Fengshuling area is one of the important metal ore producing areas in Chun'an County. The proven iron and copper reserves rank the third in the province.

Water resources

There are many streams in the territory, and the water resources are very rich, with a development capacity of more than 110000 kilowatts. At present, Fengshuling hydropower station, the second largest hydropower station in the county, Tongshan I Hydropower Station, hejiawu II hydropower station and Fengshuling III hydropower station are developed. Fengshuling reservoir: located in Fengshuling Town, Chun'an County, it has a rainfall collection area of 227 square kilometers. The dam is a masonry gravity dam with a height of 63.8 meters, a length of 270.28 meters and a crest width of 5 meters. The maximum capacity of the reservoir is 57.44 million cubic meters and the normal capacity is 53.3 million cubic meters. It is a medium-sized reservoir with annual regulation. Tongshan reservoir: located in Fengshuling Town, Chun'an County, with a rainfall collection area of 45.1 square kilometers, the dam is a concrete double curvature arch dam with a height of 60.5 meters and a length of 175 meters. The maximum storage capacity of the reservoir is 16.95 million cubic meters and the normal storage capacity is 16 million cubic meters. It is a medium-sized reservoir with annual regulation. Fengshuling power station: located in xuejiayuan village, Fengshuling Town, Chun'an County, it was approved by the Ministry of water resources and electric power in March 1987. Construction started in October 1988. The total installed power generation capacity is 32000 kW (2 × 16000 kW), and the construction investment is 108.66 million yuan. It is a trans basin diversion power station. Tongshan I Hydropower Station: located in Tongshan village, tongshanyuan, upstream of Fengshuling hydropower station, it is designed by Hangzhou Water Conservancy and Hydropower Survey and Design Institute and installed by Fengdian. The total installed power generation capacity is 6400 kW (2 × 3200 kW), and the total investment of the first and second stage power stations is 113 million yuan. Hejiawu hydropower station: located in hejiawu village, tongshanyuan, upstream of Fengshuling hydropower station, it is designed by Hangzhou Water Conservancy and Hydropower Survey and Design Institute and installed by Fengdian. The total installed power generation capacity is 6400 kW (2 × 2000 kW), and the total investment of the first and second stage power stations is 113 million yuan. Yanchang hydropower station: located in Yanchang village, baimayuan, upstream of Fengshuling hydropower station, it is designed by Hangzhou water resources and Hydropower Survey and Design Institute and installed by Fengdian. The total installed power generation capacity is 2000 kW (2 × 1000 kW), and the total investment of Yanchang power station and songjiabu power station is 40 million yuan. Songjiabu hydropower station: located in songjiabu village, baimayuan, upstream of Fengshuling hydropower station, it is designed by Hangzhou water resources and Hydropower Survey and Design Institute and installed by Fengdian. The total installed power generation capacity is 3200 kW (2 × 1600 kW), and the total investment of Yanchang power station and songjiabu power station is 40 million yuan. In 1964, the agriculture and Water Bureau of Chun'an county organized the comprehensive planning of fenglingang basin. In September 1984, the water resources department of Zhejiang Province reported to the Ministry of water and electricity with zhesj (1984) No. 211 document, requiring Fengshuling hydropower station project to be included in the capital construction project in 1985. In March 1987, the state development planning commission entrusted the former Ministry of water resources and electric power to approve the construction of Fengshuling hydropower station by (urgent) (1987) SHZ No.74 document. In October 1987, Fengdian Engineering Bureau entered the construction site and the preliminary work began. On May 19, 1992, Fengshuling reservoir was closed and impounded. on July 2, 1992, the dynamic commissioning of two units of Fengshuling hydropower station was completed. On July 7, 1992, Fengshuling hydropower station was put into operation. On June 7, 1993, the water resources department of Zhejiang Province approved and transferred the No. 148 document of zheshuijian (1993) to the No. 32 document of chunzhengfa (1993), and approved the total investment of Fengdian project as 111.0359 million yuan. Agricultural achievements

Agricultural production around tea, sericulture, Phyllostachys pubescens, Chinese herbal medicine and alpine vegetables and other five leaves into a piece of development, the formation of five leaves simultaneously block urban agricultural pattern. Among them, the planting area of traditional Chinese medicine and Phyllostachys pubescens accounted for 45% and 24.8% of the total area of the county, respectively. Baima area is one of the first named old revolutionary base areas in Hangzhou.
