Cangji town

Cangji town now refers to Cangji area, which is under the jurisdiction of Yanghe Town, Yanghe New District, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the southeast of Suqian City and belongs to Yanghe new district. It borders Linhe town of Siyang County in the East, Yanghe town of Yanghe New District in the west, Zhongyang town of Sucheng District in the South and Zhenglou town across the river in the north. The market town covers an area of 1.2 square kilometers, forming four horizontal and four vertical commercial streets, with 57000 mu of arable land and 12 villager committees and 1 community neighborhood committee. In March 2004, it was planned to be under the jurisdiction of Sucheng district. In June 2013, it was planned to be under the jurisdiction of Yanghe new district.

In December 2017, Cangji Town, Zhenglou town and Yanghe town were abolished and a new Yanghe town was established, with 45845 people (in 2017), 12 neighborhood committees and 34 village committees, covering a total area of 48 square kilometers (in 2017).

Cangji town is located in the southeast of Yanghe New District, adjacent to the ancient town Yanghe in the west, Zhongyang town in Sucheng District in the south, Zhenglou town in the north and Linhe town in Siyang County in the East, which is the east gate of the city. The total area of the district is 48 square kilometers (2017), and the market town area is 1.2 square kilometers, forming four horizontal and four vertical commercial streets, with 57000 mu of cultivated land, 12 villagers' committees and 1 community neighborhood committee, and 45845 permanent residents (2017). In March 2004, it was planned to be under the jurisdiction of Sucheng district. In June 2013, it was planned to be under the jurisdiction of Yanghe new district. It has been about 400 years since the Cangji family moved to Taoyuan from Suzhou in Jiangsu Province in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. In the old days, Siyang was divided into five townships, namely Guancheng, Lucheng, Shunde, Chonghe and Sifu. Therefore, each township has a large scope. Lucheng is located in the west of Siyang County, including Lucheng Township, Linhe City, Tiren city and Yanghe city. Linhe Xingji was ten years earlier than Cangji, so Cangji belonged to Linhe City at that time. According to the records of Siyang County annals written by Mr. Zhang Xiangwen, who majored in the Republic of China, cangjiajicang, Ming cangzhishu, moved from Suzhou, lived in the west of urban and rural areas, which is now cangjiaji, and then cangyuanlin moved to Chonghe township. It can be seen that the word "Shiju" tells us that our ancestors had been settled in Cangji since they moved from Suzhou to Siyang. Cangji became a market town at the end of Daoguang period in Qing Dynasty. In this regard, the Republic of China "Siyang County annals" is such a record: "cangjiaji, prosperous in the late Qing Dynasty Daoguan, Weize rule three years (1864) set the first Cang meritorious service (Note: this person is the official position of zhengbapin), built more than 200 households, the market is prosperous. According to the records of Siyang County annals, in 1700, the emperor sent Jin Fu to Suqian to build Xiangfu sluice, which was a water conservancy project to bring peace to the people. In his early years, Jin Fu was a staff member (calling himself a slave) of a certain Lord. At that time, there was a man named Ding Danian in Suqian. He was also the dry son of the Lord. Once he went to Beijing, and the Lord stayed him for dinner. During the dinner, Jin Fu served dishes to the king. The king brought a piece of food to Jin Fu at that time. Ding Danian saw this. He imitated the way the king did, and gave it to Jin Fu. Jin Fu was not happy. He glanced at it and had no choice but to take it. After Jin Fu left, Wang Ye saw this and said to Danian, "you just did something you shouldn't do. Xiao Jin is my slave, but not your slave. I brought him vegetables. He ate them, but he didn't eat them. After listening to ganye, Danian asked, "how can I see it?"?
