Caiji Town, known as Wutu, Yiyong and Liushi in ancient times, is a town under the jurisdiction of Sucheng District of Suqian City. It is located 3 kilometers west of Suqian City. It is adjacent to Sucheng New District in the East, Susu Industrial Park in the south, Jiangsu Sucheng Economic Development Zone in the south, ancient Yellow River in the north, Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal and Luoma Lake scenic spot. Historical evolution
Caiji town has a long history and prosperous culture. It was called Wutu, Yiyong and Liushi in ancient times. It is adjacent to the ancient Yellow River, Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal and Luoma Lake scenic spot. Caiji town has been a famous cultural town of water town since ancient times.

In yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Shunde township of Suqian county.
In 1640, the 13th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty, Cai Tong Xuanxing Jijian City, named Cai Ji.
In 1738, it was changed into five pictures.
In the first year of Xianfeng (1851), the Yellow River burst, causing floods. The market trade moved from cailaozhuang to yiyongwei (0.5 km northeast of Caiji, the current site). In the early period of the Republic of China, the administrative division was divided into six cities, called Yiyong.
After the northern expedition of the National Revolutionary Army in 1927, it belonged to Huaiyin administrative supervision area.
In 1929, it was changed into the seventh district.
In 1933, it was changed into the first district, and the district government was in Yiyong town. After the founding of new China, Caiji township was set up as the seat of the township government. At the same time, Caiji office was set up.
After the founding of new China in 1949, Caiji township was set up, under the jurisdiction of Yangji district.
In 1956, it belonged to Gengche district.
In 1957, the district was withdrawn, and Caiji township was established by Caiji Township and Yangji township.
In 1958, it was changed into Caiji people's commune, which has jurisdiction over seven brigades, including Dongfeng, rocket, labor, Yonglian, democracy, upstream and Hongguang.
In 1961, Dongfeng was divided into Zhangzhuang and Menghu, the upper reaches into Louhe and Niujiao, labor into Yangji and Shiwei, Yonglian to Caiji, rocket to fanwan, democracy to Tianwa and Hongguang to xuwa. In 1980, Qunan brigade was separated from Caiji Brigade (later renamed as Jinan), Nongke station (zhouyoufang brigade) from xuwa brigade, Zhakou brigade from fanwan brigade, Zhuli brigade from Menghu brigade, Liuzhuang and Wangzhuang brigade from Yangji brigade, Wangma road and Wulou brigade from Tianwa brigade, totally 18 brigade.

In December 1995, Caiji removed the township to build a town, and the town government was stationed in Caiji, which was subordinate to Suqian City (county level).
In July 1996, it was subordinate to Suyu County of Suqian City, with 18 administrative villages including Caiji, Jinan, xuwa, zhouyoufang, xiaoliuzhuang, Dawangzhuang, Yangji, Shiwei, Zhakou, fanwan, Zhuli, Menghu, Zhangzhuang, Louhe, Niujiao, Tianwa, Wangma road and Wulou.
In 1998, Caiji, Jinan and Zhakou were rebuilt into neighborhood committees.
In 2000, Zhakou neighborhood committee merged fanwan village into fanwan neighborhood committee; zhouyoufang village merged Jinan neighborhood committee into Jinan neighborhood committee; Tianwa, Wangma road and Wulou villages merged into Tianwa village; Zhuli village merged Menghu village into Zhuli village; Zhangzhuang village was renamed zhangyoufang village, Dawangzhuang village was renamed Wangzhuang village; xiaoliuzhuang village was renamed Liuzhuang village;
In July 2001, according to the adjustment of village level division implemented by the district Party committee and the district government, it has jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees of Caiji, Jinan and fanwan, and 10 administrative villages of xuwa, Yangji, Zhuli, zhangyoufang, Louhe, Niujiao, Tianwa, Shiwei, Liuzhuang and Wangzhuang.
In February 2004, it was subordinate to Suyu District of Suqian City.
In June 2013, Suqian Municipal Party committee decided to include Caiji town of Suyu District into Sucheng District of Suqian City.
