Shuangdian town

Shuangdian town is located in the west of Donghai County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, with Tancheng, Shandong Province in the west, Xinyi, Xuzhou in the southwest, and Linshu, Shandong Province in the north. The town has a total area of 117 square kilometers, a cultivated area of 73000 mu, a total population of 47667 (2017), and 15 administrative villages.

Shuangdian town is the largest producing area of fresh cut flowers in China. It has been rated as "provincial mass culture advanced town", "provincial science and technology advanced town", "municipal civilized unit", "municipal demonstration town" and "municipal health town", and has been awarded the title of "cattle raising town" by the municipal government.

Shuangdian town is 20 kilometers away from the county seat, bordering Wenquan Town and Shiliu town in the East. It is adjacent to shanzuokou in the west, Shihu and Hongzhuang in the south, and linian in the north. It is the largest fresh cut flower producing area in China. Its products are exported to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, occupying most of the market of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Jurisdiction: shuangdian, qianshuang, Changyi, Kongbai, Dongchi, Xichi, Songzhuang, zhudun, Zhubei, nanshuang, Beigou, Sanpu, Daixiang, Jiling 15 village committees. Shuangdian district was established in 1943, Shuangdian township was established in 1957, shuangdian people's commune was established in 1958, Shuangdian township was restored in 1983, and shuangdian town was changed from township to township in 2000. Shuangdian town is an old revolutionary base with glorious revolutionary tradition. Comrade Qian Lin of zhudun village was the first magistrate of Hailing County in 1941 when the Anti Japanese regime was established. In the war of liberation, shuangdian transported a large number of backbone forces and made great contributions to the revolutionary cause. The town is located in hilly areas, high in the West and low in the East, with an altitude of 40-100m. The built-up area of the town is 2.93 square kilometers. The main streets are Shuangjin Road, Shuangyin Road, Central Road, Renmin Road, Fenghuang Road, Shuangzhi Road, Yinhe road and Yueya road. The territory has 310 National Highway, Hongxia highway, niuxu highway, convenient transportation. In terms of culture, education and health, there is one middle school and seven primary schools in the town, with 6725 students, and the enrollment rate of junior high school is 99%. There is one central hospital and 15 village clinics in the town. There are fairs on the fourth, ninth, fourteenth, nineteenth, 24th and 29th day of the lunar calendar. Because the town government is located in shuangdian village, it gets its name.

Shuangdian town fresh cut flower Industrial Park is located in the west of Donghai County. Now the scale planting area of the park has reached 12000 mu, and more than 6000 high standard solar greenhouses have been built. The park mainly produces more than 20 high-grade cut flowers, including perfume lily, gerbera, rose and tulips, and sells well in more than 50 large and medium-sized city such as Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Qingdao and Xi'an. Among them, Lily occupies 70% of the market of Shanghai lily. The park won the titles of "Jiangsu fresh cut flower industry base", the first batch of "Facility Horticulture efficient demonstration zone", "Lianyungang modern agricultural park", "the first town of fresh cut flower in China", "national fresh cut flower production demonstration zone" and so on.

Individual economy
