Zhewang town

Zhewang town is located in the northeast of Ganyu District of Lianyungang City, bordering Rizhao City and Linyi city of Shandong Province respectively. It is the northernmost end of Jiangsu Province, known as the "north gate of Jiangsu". The town has a total area of 72.3 square kilometers and a coastline of 11.8 kilometers, accounting for one third of coastal, plain and mountainous areas respectively. It governs 24 administrative villages with a resident population of 55660 (in 2017), and has won the titles of national civilized town and national ecological civilized town. In 2018, it ranked 133 among the top 1000 towns in China, ranking first in Lianyungang City. The town has the first mock exam area, and the township is one of the two industrial enterprises.
