Idioms and allusions
Ji Xiaolan satirized He Lin, a favorite of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, as a corrupt official. It is recorded in the unofficial history of the Qing Dynasty that Ji Xiaolan, a famous scholar of the current Dynasty, was asked to inscribe a plaque on the main hall of a newly built house in Hetao. Ji Xiaolan thought a little and then wrote the word "zhubao", which means "zhubao Songmao". He Lin didn't know the reason and happily hung in the hall. One day, when Emperor Qianlong arrived at the new residence of Hetao, he saw that the plaque was inscribed by Ji Xiaolan. He felt strange that Ji Xiaolan had always despised Hetao. How could he give it back to him? After careful meditation, he suddenly realized that "Qing's family has been teased by Ji Xiaolan!" he said. Qianlong said with a smile, "Ji Xiaolan is scolding your family for" all of them. " And he can't laugh or cry.
