Synopsis
Eliza Doolittle, a flower girl, is pretty and smart, but she comes from a poor family. She goes to the street to sell flowers every day to earn some money to support her father. One day, Eliza's vulgar accent attracted the attention of linguist Professor Higgins, who boasted that as long as he trained, the flower girl could be your wife. Eliza felt that what the professor said was an opportunity for her, so she took the initiative to ask the professor to train her and pay her tuition. After being ridiculed, the professor's friend Pickering (in order to help Eliza) bets with him that if Eliza is allowed to attend the ambassador's garden party to be held in two months' time as your wife, and no one can find out the truth, Pickering is willing to bear all the experimental expenses and Eliza's academic expenses, which arouses the professor's fighting spirit, and Higgins gladly accepts the challenge. He is not to be outdone. He began to teach the most basic alphabet pronunciation. Higgins is an energetic and scientific scholar who forgets to eat and sleep for everything he is interested in. He was open-minded and had no malice at all, but like a child, he had no regard for other people's feelings and trained Eliza strictly. once, when Higgins took Eliza to her mother's dinner, Freddie, a young gentleman, was deeply moved by Eliza's beauty and self-confident manner. He fell in love with her at first sight and could not recognize her as the dirty flower girl who had sold to him in the rain. Higgins is over 40 years old and unmarried. He never looks up to young girls, but he can't live without Eliza. His clothes, food and appointment were all in Eliza's care. What annoyed Eliza, however, was Higgins's simple and rough temper. He taught her gentle language, but never treated her in a gentle manner. Six months later, Higgins confidently took Eliza and Pickering to a reception hosted by the Greek ambassador. Eliza attended the ambassador's reception as a distant relative of Colonel Pickering and Professor Higgins. She went all out, talked and laughed, and was elegant and radiant. When she appeared and was favored by the queen and the prince, people stopped talking and enjoyed her stunning appearance. She is skillful and experienced in dealing with people, and just right. In order to recognize her origin, niebomke, the first student of Higgins, tried his best to deal with Eliza. However, Eliza made her dizzy and failed. Higgins succeeded. Eliza was brilliant at the reception! However, when she got home, because Higgins ignored the existence of the exhausted Eliza and only wanted to celebrate the success of the bet with her friends, Eliza, who was full of fear for the future, was not understood and left Higgins' home in anger. She met the infatuated Freddie at the door. After meeting him at the racecourse, he failed to pursue her. Every night, he almost came to Eliza's window to linger and pay close attention to Eliza. Eliza was moved by his infatuation. Although Higgins has a violent attitude, it has a subtle influence on him. After Eliza left in a rage, he became very depressed. He went to his mother's house to ask for help, but they met by accident, but they quarreled again. Eliza said that she would marry Freddie. Higgins was surprised and angry, and left angrily. But on the way home, I can't help thinking of Eliza, thinking that Eliza has been integrated into his life.
