The origin of Idioms
In Jin Xue Jie written by Han Yu of Tang Dynasty, it is said that "industry is better than diligence, but less than frolic; action is better than thinking, and destruction is better than following."
Idiom usage
To do something means to think more. Mao Zedong's eight part essay of the opposition party: "Confucius advocated 'rethinking', and Han Yu also said 'action comes from thinking'. That was an ancient thing."
