Synopsis

In May 1935, the first front army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army broke through the enemy's defense and came to the Dadu River Ferry. However, the natural conditions of the Dadu River are dangerous and it is difficult for tens of thousands of troops to pass through. After that, enemy soldiers pursued, and before that, natural danger blocked the way. Our army decided to eliminate all difficulties and seize Luding Bridge ferry in the upper reaches of Dadu River to ensure the crossing of Dadu River. The vanguard battalion of the red army won the Luding Bridge and laid the bridge slab, so that the Red Army troops could cross the river safely and continue to march towards the snow mountain. In the process of marching in the snow mountain, the weather was extremely bad, many soldiers died here, but the big snow mountain was still conquered by the Red Army. In August 1935, the first and fourth front armies of the red army joined forces and continued to March. Li Youguo, the instructor who was injured in the battle of Dadu River, suffered a relapse of old injuries and was in a critical situation. The landlord gave his only horse to the Red Army. The march on the grassland was extremely arduous. The leader killed the horse and gave it to the soldiers. Li Youguo encouraged everyone with an optimistic attitude until the last moment of his life. Then, they quickly broke through the dangerous Lazikou, which was heavily defended by the enemy. In December 1936, the Red Army finally joined the 15th Red Army in Northern Shaanxi and completed the long march of 25000 Li.
