The origin of Idioms
According to Wu Mingshi's biography of Gao xianzhuan of lianshe, master Daosheng in Jin Dynasty, "Zhu Daosheng went to Huqiu mountain, gathered stones as disciples, and talked about Nirvana Sutra, and all the stones nodded."
Idiom usage
It is persuasive and convincing. Example Wen Xianggong's comments are really more effective than medicine and bait. If the disease is caused by the teacher's illness, it can be cured suddenly. The 11th chapter of Xia Jingqu's the wild old man's exposed words in Qing Dynasty
Idiom story
It is said that master Daosheng was expelled from the temple because he insisted that "all living beings have Buddha nature". Back in the south, he lived in a temple in Huqiu mountain and talked about the nirvana Sutra for the stones all day. When it came to the wonderful place, he asked if the stone had Buddhist nature? All the stones nodded for this. Onlookers spread the miracle, and more and more people worshipped him as their teacher in less than ten days. (Note: Zhu Daosheng advocated that "all living beings have Buddha nature". Although it was not allowed to be accepted by the public for a while, with the introduction and translation of more Buddhist scriptures, his view was proved correct.) tip: education is also a process of reasoning, spreading the truth. If it is a difficult and impossible task for the stone to nod, it will be much easier for the boy to nod.
