Movie plot

On a cold and windy night in 1932, Shanghai reporter Xu met a woman in black in a cigarette shop. The woman's whereabouts are uncertain, and she calls herself a ghost. After dating several times, Xu expressed his love to the woman, who said that people and ghosts are different ways, and refused him. Some people commit suicide by jumping from a building. The witness said that a female ghost appeared. Xu went to the cigarette shop to inquire about the whereabouts of the woman. Cigarette shop clerk's words flicker, only road woman and two years ago four road homicide. With the help of his colleagues, Xu found out that a pair of men and women were involved in an anarchic organization. The men died and the women were injured. Later, the women disappeared for no reason. Xu goes out to look for Zhang, and they finally meet again in the church. The woman was moved by Xu's sincerity and said that she was born in a big family. Her actions and thoughts were constrained repeatedly. It was only when she met a man who joined the anarchic organization and pursued freedom and ideals together that her life changed greatly. When her lover was killed in the organization, the woman found out the real murderer for revenge and forced one of them to jump off a building and commit suicide. The other, the man in the tobacco shop, finally died under the woman's gun. Big revenge, but the woman can not get rid of the shackles of emotion, from then on disappeared in the vast sea of people.
