Duke Zhou, the younger brother of King Wu of the Western Zhou Dynasty, was granted the title of Duke Lu. Instead of going to Qufu, he asked his son Boqin to govern. When Jiang Ziya was assigned to Qi, he returned to Beijing five months later to report to the Duke of Zhou. Boqin returned to Beijing three years later to report his achievements.
