Southern barbarian tongue
Nanmanjue is a Chinese idiom, Pinyin is n á nm á nju é sh é, which means that Mencius used to ridicule Chu people for talking like birds, and later used to ridicule those who speak southern dialect. It comes from Mencius Teng Wengong.
