Idioms and allusions
During the reign of King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty, there were two ministers in the imperial court, one was Yin Jifu, the other was Zhong Shanfu. They assisted King Xuan and made great contributions. Yin Jifu's name is Jia, and his name is Boji Fu (yizuofu). Yin is an official name. He once led the army to fight back the attack of Pingyou people in the northwest, and was also ordered to collect the tribute of nanhuayi people in Chengzhou (now Luoyang east of Henan Province). Zhong Shanfu (a father) was also known as Fan Zhong and fan Muzhong because he was granted the land of fan (now Xiangfan City, Hubei Province). Zhong Shanfu is very knowledgeable, dare to direct advice, respected by everyone. at that time, Lu Wu, the Duke of the state of Lu, had two sons. The eldest was Ji Kuo, and the youngest was Ji Xi. King Xuan of Zhou arbitrarily made Xi the prince of Lu. This practice of abolishing the elder and establishing the younger violated the rules of the time and easily led to internal turmoil. Zhongshan tried his best to remonstrate him, but king Xuan of Zhou did not listen and insisted on making Xi the prince. Later, Xi succeeded to the throne as Duke Yi. The people of Lu did not agree and soon killed Duke Yi. In order to defend the northwest tribes, King Xuan ordered Zhong Shanfu to build a city in Qi. At this time, Yin Jifu wrote a poem to Zhong Shanfu. In the poem, he praised Zhong Shanfu's moral character and talent. Of course, he also praised king xuanwang's appointment of talents and abilities, which made the Zhou Dynasty prosperous. This poem is "Jimin" in the book of songs. It has eight chapters. In the fourth chapter, there are two sentences: "be clear and philosophical, so as to protect one's body". It is to praise the excellent moral character and talent of Zhong Shanfu. chapter one: "born to the people, there are things. It is good virtue for the people to uphold Yi. There is a week in heaven's prison, and it's a day off. Baozi, the son of heaven, gave birth to zhongshanfu. " The main idea of the poem is: the old man is born with all creatures, and there are rules for everything. There is a common feeling among all living beings, and everyone loves morality. God saw my Zhou Dynasty and prayed sincerely. In order to protect the emperor, he gave birth to Zhong Shanfu. Chapter four: "the order of King Susu, zhongshanfu. If the state is not, it will be just as clear as Zhongshan. He is wise and wise to protect his body. It's a long time ago and a long time ago. " It means: the order of the son of heaven is very serious, and Shanfu is ordered to set out. Shanfu could see the good and the bad of the country and society clearly. He is wise, sensible and upright. Working day and night, never slacking off, wholeheartedly helping King Zhou. The four sentences at the end of the poem read: "Ji Fu recites, mu Ruqing Feng. Zhong Shan Fu is always in his heart to comfort him. " This is to say: Jifu as a song to a friend, your way is like Hefeng. Shanfu's parting tide is surging, and comfort is appealing.
