Once, Liu Sheng, king of jingling, rebelled. Zongyue was ordered to lead an army to attack Liu Sheng, and after a fierce battle, he captured Guangling city. Because of Liu's rebellion, the emperor angered the people in the city and ordered all the men in the city to be killed. After receiving the imperial edict, Zongyue not only refused to admonish the emperor, but also took part in the massacre in person. Moreover, before killing a person, he has to whip and torture them first, and some of them specially hit people on the face. While beating, he happily appreciates the suffering of the common people. His subordinates were a little impatient, and he was happy with it. This time, he killed thousands of innocent people on his own. When the Song Dynasty abolished the emperor's rule, he was more cruel and had no way, so he trusted and valued Zongyue's cruel officials. And use them to kill the ministers in the court. Zong Yue and others devoted themselves to the emperor's appreciation. Relying on these cruel officials, the emperor abolished Song Dynasty did whatever he wanted.
