On the street
Jietan Xiangyi, a Chinese idiom, Pinyin is Ji à t á nxi à ngy à, which means people's discussion in the streets, refers to the public opinion of the people, with "jietan Xiangyi". It comes from jianmingshu, zashuo, riyuanjin.
The idiom comes from Qiu Guangting's jianmingshu zashuo riyuanjin of Tang Dynasty: "Zhongni's ancestors described Yao and Shun, and his charter was civil and military. His way and virtue were not in harmony with Xiaoer's street. Zhongni gave up and didn't care if it wasn't about enlightenment, so Zilu didn't answer questions about ghosts and gods and death."
