Family food, a Chinese word, is pronounced Ji à ch á ngch á f à n, which means the daily diet in the family. It is often used to describe very common things. It comes from the book of reply to Gao Ying Chao written by Zhu Xi of Song Dynasty.
The origin of Idioms
Zhu Xi of the Song Dynasty wrote in his reply to Gao Ying Chao Shu: "if we only say this all the time, but we are not filial and use everyday common meaning to cultivate and play Kung Fu, that is to say, we are afraid that scholars will make a strange and special thing about this family."
