Chinese idiom, Pinyin is g ō NGL ì x ī D í, which means that both sides are equal in Kung Fu and strength. It is often used to describe each other regardless of their level. It is mostly used to refer to the attainments in literature and art. It comes from Ji Yougong's chronicle of Tang poetry Shangguan Zhaorong in Song Dynasty.
The origin of Idioms
Ji Yougong of the Song Dynasty wrote Shangguan Zhaorong, a chronicle of Tang Poetry: "after hearing his comments, he said:" the two poems are all powerful. "
Idioms and allusions
In the first month of a year in the middle of Tang Dynasty, many ministers gathered by the pool of Kunming to write poems for selection. Shangguanzhao, a talented woman, accepted the emperor's order to choose a poem as a royal song. Hundreds of poems were soon sent to Shangguan Zhaorong, and she soon finished reading them. The remaining two are the works of song Zhiwen and Shen Quanqi. Shangguan Zhaorong continued to ponder for a while, and then threw down Shen Quanqi's works. Everyone rushed to see Shen Quanqi's manuscript. Shangguan Zhaorong wrote such a comment on it: the two poems were well matched. Shen Quanqi's poems were not selected because of the following two sentences: Wei Chen's decadent nature and his shame on Yu ZhangCai. Shangguan Zhaorong read song Zhiwen's poem to you. The last two sentences are: don't worry about the end of the moon, there will be a pearl at night. As soon as Shen Quanqi heard it, he could understand why his poem was not selected because song Zhiwen's whole poem was full of vitality, and his poem had no momentum in the end.
