"Erya Shidi No. 9 · Jiufu" says: "the beauty of the southeast is the bamboo and arrow of Kuaiji; the beauty of the southwest is the gold and stone of Huashan." Since then, "dongjiannanjin" has been used to refer to heroes and talents all over the country. In the book of Jin, praise of Yu Tan and Gu Zhong Zhuan, written by Wang Yin of Jin Dynasty: "Gu Shi's South gold, Yu Wei's East Arrow." Tang Luo Yin's poem "send Jinshi Gu Rong in autumn night" says: "empty envy good friends, pay high price, pity Dongjian and Nanjin."
